Releasing Feed Ghost, a Dual-Purpose Web Tool to Access and Subscribe to Feeds via the Internet Archive

Are there RSS/Atom feeds of sources you mistrust but need to check or follow?

A new member of the IA Defensa family of digital defense tools, Feed Ghost is a dual-purpose feed neutralization tool that allows 1) browsing feeds and accessing their entries via the Internet Archive (cf. interactive feed viewer) and 2) subscribing to similarly neutralized feeds via your own custom fork.

The tool does not collect or share any data with me or third parties.

You can tell, however, this is just the briefest of updates (I’m focused on building out the suite rather than promoting it)—the documentation has all the details.

The official release date of the tool is May 28, but I’m spreading out announcements a bit.

About Me

Jens Oliver Meiert, on March 2, 2026.

I’m Jens (long: Jens Oliver Meiert), and I’m an engineering lead, guerrilla philosopher, and indie publisher. I’ve worked as a technical lead and engineering manager at various companies, including Google; I’m an open-source developer and a contributor to web standards (like HTML, CSS, WCAG); and I write and review books for O’Reilly and Frontend Dogma.

I love trying things, not only in web development and engineering management, but also with respect to politics and philosophy. Here on meiert.com I talk about some of my experiences and perspectives. (Please share feedbackinterpret charitably, keep it friendly, but do be critical.)
